Financing a race car

By Edward Legge | Buying a Classic | 0 Comments

Racing cars is expensive – there’s no other way of putting it. And it’s not just the cost of the car – to run any vehicle in a race series requires a significant investment in both time and money, but as anyone who races will tell you, it’s definitely worth it!

It’s not widely appreciated that race cars can be financed, but we’ve been doing it for years – from Le Mans Prototypes to GT cars and classics. Financing the purchase of a race car is a great way of freeing up the funds to run it for the season, and finance can be extended to cover the purchase of transporters and track side accommodation in the form of an RV.

The only stipulations are that the car is insured whilst it’s on track, and items such as spares packages cannot be included.
