The season has finally closed after eight challenging race meets spread between the UK and Europe where gentleman drivers could have fun, compete and generally enjoy what has become an exciting but subtle series. A mixture of pre-1966 cars up to 2.5 litre in various classes have had an exciting and safe season with much thanks to the challenging work of race organisers Rob Cull and John Pearson. From its humble beginnings of only three years ago, the driver list has grown from something like thirteen irregular drivers to eighty-three at its peak this year and some real talent included, it must be said!

Our own Rob Johnson and team partner Edward Barton Hilton of Nicholas Mee & Co fame supported by Oselli Engineering have had a slow but constant season. With a slightly underpowered car that promised to and certainly delivered to the end with the highlight of the year being the 3 Hour Relay fought out at Silverstone Circuit in September, where she finally hung up her head gasket after battling intensely against some good and mostly faster competition.

We have been thrilled that Edward joined the team this year where he delivered skill and determination with a balance of good judgement and competitive edge to ensure the car lasted and we all basically could continue to enjoy ourselves to the very end. Thank you Ed and team Oselli managed by Paul Eales for helping to provide a fabulous year!

For anyone looking at racing with Gentlemen in an affordable fun and supportive series the Equipe GTS will take some beating. We thank our customers, dealer partners and friends who have joined us for the journey and look forward to starting it all again next year. Roll on 2018.
