About the Austin Healey 3000 MK 3:
In February 1964 Austin-Healey announced the MKIII (BJ8). It brought with it an increase in BHP, improved carburettors and power-assisted braking as standard. This was the last incarnation of the Austin Healey, due to the car ceasing production in 1967.
A large amount of Austin-Healey cars were for export, hence 91.5% of all cars made in 1963 built for export markets.
About this Austin Healey 3000 MK 3:
This USA car is presented in the most iconic ‘Big Healey’ colour of Ice Blue over Ivory White.
It has been the subject of a ‘no expense spared’ restoration by Murray Scott-Nelson to show condition. Rebuilt onto a new chassis substructure with aluminium wings, bonnet and boot, this car is built to last.
The interior trim and weather equipment has been made bespoke especially for this car including wool carpet, blue leather trim and blue mohair hood, tonneau and also hood cover. The car is completed by a stainless steel sports exhaust, the engine benefits from an aluminium rocker cover while inside there is a power socket and wood rim steering wheel. Finally, the pièce de résistance has to be the 72 spoke chrome wire wheels.Finance this car
“This car is as new with every aspect of the car having either been restored or renewed and has covered less than 1400 miles since completion and is now nicely run in.”
“When seen in black and silver, this is an interesting alternative to a DB5. A True 1960s Grand Tourer.”
